The Department of Meteorology says thundershowers are expected in several parts of Sri Lanka in the afternoon or night today.
The department stated that showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northwestern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
Several spells of light showers may occur in the coastal areas of the Batticaloa, Ampara and Hambanthota districts.
The public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. (NewsWire)
